Is "mesmerize" by system of a down (the CD) suppose to open backwards?

well, my older brother recently introduced me to system of a down, and i thought they were great so i went out and bought an album. i decided to get mezmerize, since it was the only cd in stock by them. but it opens backwards - it opens from the right. i was just wondering if this was a manufacturing screw-up or if its suppose to be like this. Thanks.
